Morningside Hotel - Whitby

The location, the cleanliness, the friendly staff, the lovely view, everything was just good!

The hotel was exceptionally comfortable, loved sea view from our deluxe double room. The location was perfect and lovely for walking around Whitby Beach. Besides, we were just off the town's main attractions and whitby or sandsend...

I booked a double room, it was outstanding and had central heating, a coffee/tea maker, and a TV set. The location was brilliant, at a walking distance from an eclectic local-history museum.

Fantastic hotel just beside the sea! Friendly staff, ideal for exploring Whitby. Enjoyed the freshly cooked breakfast and relaxing bar with fine views.

the bathroom was well appointed but the bed could have been a bit firmer (I rolled to the edge too much! ). the room was spacious with a lovely sea view (perfect for morning coffee! ), and the staff were super friendly! breakfast was fantastic, with freshly cooked options.

The Beautiful Double Room with Sea View was spacious and had a fine view, made every morning special. The bathroom was clean and well-equipped. Breakfast was awesome with fresh options to start the day right. The mattress was a bit too soft for my liking, and I found myself rolling to the edge sometimes. The shower pressure was also disappointing, but the overall vibe of the room was relaxing.

The sea view from my King Room was undeniably fine, providing pure morning vibes that rival any intergalactic backdrop. Breakfast featured a satisfying Full English with generous portions. The option to ask for seconds if you're feeling peckish.

The water pressure in the shower left something to be desired-a bit of a letdown when you want a refreshing wash after a long day. The mattress was on the softer side. I found myself rolling towards the edge more than I preferred. While the cutlery was a tad flimsy was great, it's a minor issue in the grand scheme of things. Parking could resemble a twisted game of Tetris at times, but you eventually get used to the layout. Not everyone might mind these quirks, but they offered us a slightly bumpy start to an otherwise enjoyable stay.

The Morningside Hotel featured a relaxed bar/lounge area with fine sea views, accessible for seniors, and a cute atmosphere. The room was spacious and well-decorated.

More accessible bedside lamp switches would help seniors.

The sea view from our room was amazing! We had a lovely sitting area that was perfect for enjoying our morning coffee while soaking in the view. Breakfast was substantial, with endless refills of toast and coffee, and a wide choice of freshly cooked options that set us up for the day.

Oh, the breakfast at Morningside was downright lovely! The vegan full English was a true gem, hitting all the right notes! Coupled with the stellar hospitality of the staff, who were as cute as a cup of tea on a rainy day, our stay couldn't have been better. Plus, the room's sea view was to die for-best morning vibes ever!

Parking can be a bit of a palaver. It seemed like a game of Tetris at times, with a few cars blocking each other in. Just a tad disorganized, but honestly, the charm of the hotel made it all worth it!

Fantastic sea view from our room. Weak shower pressure after a long day was disappointing. Easy walk to a golf course nearby made our stay enjoyable. Breakfast choices were excellent, especially the Full English.
